The popularity of PS3

i received a subscription email from gamespot.com, and man... from the picture i printscreened above, i have to say, i really wish i had a PS3

Wii maybe the most selling, over millions of sales, coz it applies to anybody, and anyone can have fun with the Wii, but the more hardcore kind of gaming u will find is found with the PS3... most of the games also in X360, so it's not that bad either.

Only problem is, i can't really afford to get a PS3. each blu-ray game, is too darn expensive...

Well, it's been abt more than 3 months since i blogged here, anyways, it doesn't matter.

Persona 4
I played this game once, and got 2 ending, 1st the bad ending, coz i made the wrong decision at some point of decision making. i loaded the game to that point, and i got it wrong again... i cudn't risk the 3rd time, coz i had to go through a really long unskippable scene... so i had to do what i hate to do... look at guides online... i really dislike looking at guides, coz it spoils the game, but i didn't really had a choice, so i let it slip this time... so i got the normal ending, and i felt like, something was missing, but it can't be, since the way it ended seems just right, and yet, not complete... when raymond told me how the final boss looked like, he described it, and it didn't sound like the final boss that i fought... what i fought was a underwater-mine looking monster that emits fog, but he told me it looked like a lady and supposedly sucked the mc's friend into a vortex. that's when i discovered online that there was a 'true ending'! i cudn't believe, but it explains the judgement arcana S.link was only at lv9 and that Igor's velvet room which resembles the inside of a limousine, didn't reached it's destination... it's too bad i can't load the game to play the true ending tho, coz after the normal ending, i overwrited the saved game, so, i'm playing it all over, to get the true ending, it doesn't bother me, the game is good enough for me to play all over again as i did with persona 3 =)

World of Warcraft
Over the holidays, i've been playing private server of WoW, "wowscape funserver". i've played on a different (lower rate) private server before, this server was introduced to me by Edmond. i already had a few experiences with WoW and a bloodelf mage which was almost lv30, so it wudn't be too new for me. but Ed gave me a full T6 female lv70 undead warlock named "Poisonrose" as a birthday gift. At the beginning, he was going through the skills of a warlock to me, and teaching me how to play with it. oh man, it was really hard for me, seeing soooo many skills and talents which i don't know of. so many things were new to me, and since i never really trained this character, i had to get use to it and learn it's skills and talents. Weeks later, i had gotten used to playing this warlock, and had pwn3d countless noobs, haha. I thought the name was pretty good, but later i found out that there were a few characters in the guild with similar name such as 'poisoncrap', 'poisoncrab', and other names beginning with poison- which makes it seemed... weird, and i didn't really like that.

Ivan (tauren druid), Raymond (bloodelf rogue), Edmond (#donor bloodelf paladin) and me, usually party together to go raid, battleground or simply find alliances to kill. I had alot of fun.

then i created a bloodelf mage, to learn more abt leveling a character all the way to lv70, and learn abt raiding for epic gears. i then learn much more from here.

it's abit hard to see, but this is me, after drinking nogenfogger, waiting outside Darnassus behind a tree, with my felhunter infront on the road there to attract preys for me to pwn! lol, many low levels walk around it.

Upcoming:
I was bored with just only playing persona 4, so i checked out gamespot.com to find more PS2 games... unfortunately, there arent many new great games with great names coming for the PS2.

i checked out 'ar telineco', and i think it sucks... i didn't like the graphic, nor the gameplay style. 'Eternal Poison' game's graphic look alot better, but i wasn't sure whether i'll enjoy the gameplay since it's an rpg game, it got an averagely good score, abt 7.5/10
but i'm thinking of buying this game, because it's produced by the company Atlus, which i think alot of their games are really fun.

I'm tired of playing rpg games, and i'm looking for a more Beat 'em up kind of games, where u push buttons rapidly pounding and slashing an enemy doing lots of combo moves, ahh.. full of excitement! I'll review Eternal Poison here on FieryEtude myself as soon as i buy and play the game. most likely, there will be spoilers, so u've been warned!

Persona 4

A JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Game). this is probably gonna be the last best JRPG for the PS2.
Anticipating! i can't wait to play this game! Persona 3 was one of the best, i'm sure P4 is gonna be awesome too! how i wish to buy original instead :P

The japanese version was released months ago, but of course, i can't read nor undersand japanese, so sad... i hope just the english voice acting is good, in persona 3, at 1st it was weird, but some character with their english voice was actually pretty good. but of course... japanese voice acting with english subtitles wud be the best, but i doubt there's this option.

Mirror's Edge

once mentioned to me by my classmate, this game looks promisingly awesome! This is a 1st person shooter, not much guns to shoot, but it's all about free running around city rooftops. From the other videos i watched abt this game, i'm not too sure what the story is about, but these free runners seems to be against something like the government, and are running around, infiltrating and delivering packages, lolz.



and yes, if u didn't notice, in this is a first person game, u can see not just the hands, but there's no invisible legs like other 1st person games.

Free running is awesome by the way!

Ah, yes, i feel like updating, coz i have been playing great games this month.



God Hand

this game at first was really difficult and frusfrating (i chose normal difficulty, coz easy mode is for noobs!). after i played long enough and unlocks many new moves, this games gets really fun. I love the fights and many of the skills, especially using roulette, lol, i dunno how to explain that. It's filled with many weird and whacky characters.


Disgaea
This rpg game's graphic is like gameboy... but gameplay is somewhat fun and filled with cute characters. but their voices are kinda weird. i borrowed this game from raymond.

Red Alert 3

I just got the game! Original one too. i can download patches and updates, register and play online, and of course, it's all legal. it's a bit expensive, but it's worth it! i played abit of the tutorial, man, it's really fun... but...

Intel's..... Graphic.... SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bah... argh! i wish i had gotten that compaq laptop that had NVIDIA graphic card, but my dad had to negiotiate with me when buying... ah i didn't know how important it was to have NVIDIA brand for graphic... i can't play at high quality, and my computer crashed a few times while playing the game. Cis! i thought as long as the video memory is good, it shud be ok, but really... i dunno what to do now... it's kinda stupid to think of buying a new laptop after i just bought this new one... maybe i'll buy a new desktop instead... gotta start making my own money...

Gaming continues

Wow, the last game topic blog was more than a month ago, and that was the i finished 'Shadow of the Colossus'

Well, yeah, i did buy a few games for my PS2, since they were cheap, but none are satisfying, interesting, or making me addict enough to blog abt it, eheh.


I bought 'Smackdown! vs Raw 2008'. It's awesome that everyone has a fighting style, that means those heavy wrestler can't jump around as easily as those lighter ones, more realistic, alot of the controls changed, but it's still fun to play.

Oh, i have a new roommate, and dude! he has a PS3 which he bought like 3 weeks ago, but all he have is Metal Gear Solid 4, and other demo games which were already inside. I feel like buying Devil May Cry 4 and GTA4, because they are great sequels! but they are really really expensive so i'll think about it.

So i played MGS4, but man, i don't get the story very well, but it's abt nanobots which can either regenerate body damage quickly, or damage the body itself, well, u don't get those nanobots in you, it's part of the story, and the bad guy seemed immortal, coz he got those nanobots inside him. since japanese played a big part in creating this game, i see a lot of japanese traits in the game. The game play and cut-scenes are awesome.
I don't get the story very well, but i'm thinking of buying metal gear 2 and 3 for the PS2
oh, after 9 hours+ of gameplay, i just finished chapter 2, woah...

oh, and a little bit about my new roommate, he's a white dude from Capetown, South Africa. when i asked him what it's like there, alot of crime he told me. you can never go out alone, even during the day he say. haha, wow... sounds really dangerous.

Thy next foe is...

the intro scene was boring! all i watch was some dude on a horse on the way thru the woods and everything, i had to skip it, ahaha.

if u hadn't guessed yet, I just borrowed a PS2 game from my classmate, called "Shadow of the Colossus".

yeah, the gameplay is good, but i feel that the story is weak. in the beginning started off with this guy, who's determined to bring back the lost soul of a cute girl who really look japanese XD
He placed her on some shrine, and called out some dude in the sky who's job is soul collecting and transfering, u can't really see him, he's just a voice of a bright light in the sky. then he tells u of the circumstances, and tells u to go hunt and kill colossus, or giants.

yeah, i slayed 7 of them already... and it doesn't seem anything interesting is going on, i mean... i slay them, he gets teleported back, and then was immediately told which next colossus is to be hunted down. After each colossus i slayed, it repeats... so, there's no bad guy or anything, but it's fun, figuring out the colossus's weaknesses, climbing on them and striking their weak spots, but there's not much action/drama...

in Persona, i've reached lv99 and created Thanatos! oh, it has the skill 1handsword master, so i started using one-handed sword now, eheh... hmm... even tho i have Thanatos, it doesn't feel very different... these special persona shud have their own finisher so they wud seem different, but every persona can have the same skill, it depends...
swt, already coming to the end of november, and yuko is still not done yet O.O so slow...
